Associate Professor, Samarkand Branch of Tashkent State University of Economics
Dr. Bobur Sobirov is an Associate Professor at the Samarkand Branch of Tashkent State University of Economics, specializing in economics, tourism studies, and public administration. His research focuses on consumer behavior, tourism development, and comparative policy analysis, with publications in Scopus‑indexed journals and presentations at international conferences across the United States, Central Asia, and beyond.
He is the Co‑founder of the Silkroad Research Network (initiated by Umsida, Indonesia). Since October 2022, he has served as Leader of the Co‑working Center at TDIU Samarkand Branch, and since September 2022, as Supervisor of Master’s students at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
Dr. Sobirov has also contributed to academic publishing as Head of the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Economics and Business Management (2018–2021). His professional experience includes participation in the University of Wyoming Faculty Enrichment Program (USA), as well as industry roles such as Marketing Manager at Emir‑Demir Family Company (2020–2021) and HR Manager at Brilliant Foreign Languages Education Center (2017–2020). He previously taught as a Senior Teacher at the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service (2017–2018).
He is currently part of the international research project “Systemic Effects of Reforming the Quasi‑Public Sector: Toward a New Model of Public Administration in Kazakhstan” (IRN: AR26104777), funded by the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2025–2027).
